Transitions 2

Here is another view into a more pronounced entrance, with a more defined small space, and less division between areas 1A and 1B. Lead transitions are meant to guide you to exploring every area of the space and eventually out by gradual transition.

Anne, your solution is still touched by tom’s angel, it’s much looser than most others, maybe still a tad too loose. I would like you to label only one LT and only one transitional space, but find (or define) the strongest possible. It is still a bit challenging to read 1A and 1B as part of the same space, and space 2 is not defined enough for me. I think the enclosure would need to be more sculptural to do what you are asking it to do: to help make the separation between 1A and 1B AND enclose space 2. The columns and the two walls forming an angle are too disjointed to accomplish this task.

Anne, I can definetly empythise with you regarding the difficulty of identifying only one of each transition. I kept wrestling with the gradual transition, and the transitional space. I wanted them to be the same... but was that a valid solution to the problem? I don't know. I appreciate your approach, using as few of the pieces as possible but still attempting to defines the spaces. Additionally, I think you could spend a little more time on communicating your ideas... add some color, or another perspective to describe what you are getting at. You have sucha great hand... you should use it. Its tough getting warmed up though. See you in Boston.
