Anne, your detail sections are very insightful. You clearly developed them yourself, displaying the thinking required to be innovative: you are taking everything possible in account, structure, including reinforcing of concrete, waterproofing, insulation, plant life and “green” issues. Bravo. I hope you will have some time developing details equally thoughtful that deal with your recycled brick. One question: why did you choose sloped lightweight concrete instead of tapered insulation?
Lightweight insulating concrete should be a more permanent roof. Ponding should not be as noticable and repair costs should be just replace the membrane.

Hi Anne,
Do you need a roof drain for your roof garden? If not do you have a solution to divert the water away from the window?
