Anne, I like the simple move – two class rooms in one block, one in the other, two stairs, bridge. Done. I’m not so crazy about the pattern on the floor to mimic the sliver, particularly on the larger building. Why isn’t the balcony, bath rooms, lounge, print area defining the sliver, rather than a floor pattern change. The ceiling by the way could offer you a way too to mark breaks in the space: again, material change, but even more, soffits, plane changes (flat vs. sloped) openings to above could help define these slivers.
Anne, I don't see your plan for the upper floors yet, but I have a hard time seeing the resolution for a second means of egress from the upper floors. I'm assuming the first stair behind the elevator is simply continuing all the way to the roof. Your second stair somehow needs to connect to the stair on the far side of the smaller building, across the roof garden. Are you thinking of bisecting the roof with a corridor and establishing another stair well (switch-back) in the larger building, or are you thinking of wrapping the stair with a series of single runs at the outside of the larger building? You need to solve this (unfortunately) quickly.
