Anne, does this detail show a cantileverd slab (in wich case I would need to see insulation wrapping the slab somehow), or is it the base (in which case I would expect the brick simply resting on a brick shelf, or grade beam). make sure in any case your insulation extends/wraps to avoid heat loss.
It is the condition between the first and second floors that overhangs the entries. Would the insulation be attached underneath the slab? I'm not sure how to detail it.
