Anne, I know you are a bit in panic mode; the third stair is not exactly a stroke of genius. I think incorporating it into the larger building (to help define one of the interior slivers) or to wrap it around the form (like aalto in the baker house: www.cityofsound.com/.../baker_house_rear.jpg ) would be more satisfying.
Make sure you have the structural systems description and diagram ready.
I'm exploring this next. I'm sure my structural plans will need revised. I enjoy that aalto stair-
